About the Catholic Service Appeal
The Catholic Service Appeal is the annual giving campaign of the Diocese of Jackson. There are many services the Diocese provides to our parishes, schools, and to all Catholics that would be difficult for even the most prosperous parishes to undertake on their own. This includes support for our schools, mission parishes, educating seminarians, campus ministry, retirement and healthcare for our priests, evangelizing, and Catholic Charities. When the goal of the Catholic Service Appeal is achieved, we insure that these programs will receive the funding that is needed.
Mission Parishes and Schools
Your support helps our mission parishes and schools. Many of these parishes and schools are small and in rural areas. Your generosity provides them with ministries they may not be able to support themselves.

Seminarian Education
We have 10 seminarians who have answered God’s call. They are currently receiving pastoral training to serve the needs of our diocese. Your support will help to educate our seminarians and give them the opportunity to focus on their education. It can cost well over $30,000 to educate one seminarian each year.

Catholic Charities
The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide help and create hope for those in need. Last year Catholic Charities served over 29,000 children, women and families. For every $1 you give, Catholic Charities provides $9 of service through matching grants.
