Catholic Service Appeal                                                Bishop.jpg

Last year we were truly blessed by so many in our diocesan community who paved the way and opened their hearts to share gifts that help to build God’s kingdom. With utmost gratitude, I acknowledge the generosity of over 4,000 donors with an average gift of $256 who were so generous to the 2011 Catholic Service Appeal. All of these sacrificial gifts enable us to accomplish so much through the ministries and services that change lives.
As we celebrate the 175th anniversary of our Diocese, we recall the many accomplishments and success stories; all of which are due to our faithful Catholic communities. While we have much to take pride in, we must also continue to look to our future.    So today, I ask you to join me in celebrating our past and future by Sharing Your Blessings and supporting the Catholic Service Appeal by considering a sacrificial gift this year.
I am counting on your response in faith to provide tangible help and hope to families and individuals in need. Your gift does make a difference in our Catholic faith. I am thankful to everyone who has supported the Catholic Service Appeal in the past. It will be your ongoing support that helps ensure that the ministries and programs of the Church, your Church, will be present, sustaining every member of your spiritual family.
Thank you and may God continue to bless you and your family.

Sincerely in the Lord,

Joseph N. Latino
Bishop of Jackson
