Catholic Service Appeal                                                Bishop.jpg

Our diocese has entered into the year of the Eucharist, a yearlong rededication to discovering the great gift of the Eucharist in all its mystery and sacredness. Jesus gave us this gift at the Last Supper. Truly the Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith.
The theme of the Catholic Service Appeal is “Pave the Way by Sharing Your Blessings.” The mystery of the Eucharist inspires and impels us as Catholic Christians to Pave the Way for Catholic Charities to bring the compassion, mercy and love of Christ Jesus to those in need. The mystery of the Eucharist Paves the Way for young men to answer the call to the priesthood and be trained well in serving Christ’s church. The mystery of the Eucharist guides us to strengthen the faith of our young Catholics away at college. The mystery of the Eucharist moves us to care for our retired priests and encourages us to help out our mission parishes and schools. The mystery of the Eucharist Paves the Way for lay people to answer their baptismal call to bring Christ into the workplace, the social arena and family life.
Your gift will help continue and advance the good work of our diocesan church and to further the Gospel message. You can Pave the Way for the mission of the church to make Christ known to others through supporting our Catholic Service Appeal. Your generosity will Pave the Way. May God bless you for your service to Christ and His Church.

Sincerely in the Lord,

Joseph N. Latino
Bishop of Jackson
